If you're going to the EPC meeting on San Antonio tomorrow...

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. Not really. But here are some things that you might consider saying at the meeting during public comments:

• Remind the EPC that this site is only 1/4 mile from VTA's future Bus Rapid Transit stop on El Camino and Showers, and 1/2 mile from Caltrain's San Antonio station. That's less than a 10 minute walk and a perfect place for transit oriented development!  
  
• The current project is poorly designed. Along the El Camino frontage, storefronts are setback behind walls, shrubbery, parking lots, or face away from the street. These design features will make El Camino less pedestrian friendly for years to come.
• Don't let the developer decide how the San Antonio area will change. Through the General Plan update, the city decided to accommodate more housing and office space at San Antonio, but the community should decide what the more intense uses should look like.
