This project would replace the Sizzler at 1962 West El Camino and would include a drive-through addition. Please consider speaking out against this project's including a drive through, as we already have 26 drive-through businesses in our city (https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=215093886093862439511.0004bdab6239ffc3d2a63&msa=0), and adding more would be inconsistent with our vision for Mountain View, the 2030 General Plan, Grand Boulevard and Bus Rapid Transit principles.

City Council reviews the appeal of the Shell Station expansion project at Shoreline Boulevard and El Camino at their regular meeting.

The expansion would entail enlarging the building to include a convenience store and adding a drive-through car wash. Please consider speaking out against this project, as nearby neighbors oppose it and have asked for our support, and because it is inconsistent with our vision for Mountain View, the 2030 General Plan, Grand Boulevard and Bus Rapid Transit principles.

On Wednesday, April 18th the EPC will be talking about all kinds of things that MVCSP devotees would care about. They include:
  • Drive thrus (does anyone actually know how to properly spell drive thrus/throughs? Feel free to comment.). Drive thrus are not our fav and we don't think they're very consistent with the plans the City has been working on. Maybe it's time for MV to embark on a new, drive thru free era.
  • Action minutes vs. detailed minutes (The MVCSP members that have weighed in on this at previous meetings have spoken of an affinity for detailed minutes b/c they think it helps allow for more robust citizen engagement!)
  • The results of a parking study for multi-family homes.
  • There's a good chance the EPC will talk about the General Plan or the North Bayshore Precise Plan since so much is happening right now with those. We won't know until the agenda is posted.
So please, consider coming and speaking up!

The meeting will either be int eh Council Chambers or Plaza Conference Room on 4/18. The meeting starts at 7:00pm.
